Banana chips are crispy snack food similar to potato chips. Throughout the world Banana chips are increasingly popular as an alternative to junk food, whether in trail mixes or packaged separately. The Philippines is the main source of premium Banana chips. There are approximately eighty different types of bananas grown in the Philippines, but our banana chips are produced mainly from the Saba variety, the leading kind in the country. The bananas are harvested when the skin is green, then washed and peeled. The fruit is sliced and fried in fresh coconut oil. After sorting, the chips are dipped in sugar syrup and fried a second time thus producing a healthy and delicious snack food for everyone to enjoy.
